vyom.pathroliya has been writing good feedback on the games so I don't have much else to say :p. Adding a minimap could be good, since i didn't have much idea where I was heading.

+1 to vyom.pathroliya comment, but please next time don't loop the screaming lady sfx :p, one time is enough to scare the user.
I'd recommend you to work on your writing if you want to work further on VNs, the dialogue was in incoherent across some panels but I can understand that happens in a limited time jam. I'm also interested to know what VNs have you played? Something specific inspired you?
+1 to vyom.pathroliya comment, the game was fun and one comment I have to add to it: the parallax background is too harsh and distracting, I'd reduce the scrolling speed by a factor of 10.
Unfortuantely, I can't see how the game relates to the theme of "Gateway".
